Letter
from the President
Welcome,
We invite you to join us on October 13, 2006, to support these
wonderful kids, at a special performance of Comedian Steven Wright.
For the past twelve years, the David L. Fisher
Foundation has made it our mission to help support organizations
that assist individuals in their battle against cancer. Since our
inception we have been working to raise funds to make a difference in the lives of
individuals with cancer. We have enjoyed exceptional
growth due to a continual increase in outstanding supporters,
volunteers, and both individual and
business donors. In 1997, the David L. Fisher Foundation decided to
narrow its focus to children who have been diagnosed with cancer. At
that time, we learned of an extraordinary organization whose mission
was very much aligned with ours - One Step At A Time (OSAAT)
programs. OSAAT gives children diagnosed with cancer, regardless of
their degree of illness or financial situation, the opportunity to
enjoy normal childhood experiences and to do things they never
dreamed possible like playing softball in a wheelchair or skiing
down a mountain with only one leg.Through the years, the David L. Fisher Foundation
has become critically aware of the profound impact otherwise
ordinary childhood experiences have for those children fighting
cancer. These “ordinary experiences” offer them the strength and
courage to overcome their illness. We are committed to making these
opportunities available to children around the world. We invite you to join us on October 13, 2006, to
support these wonderful kids, at a special performance of Comedian Steven Wright at 6pm at the Centre East Theatre in
Skokie. We hope to see you there.
Thank you for your support and please remember,
together we can make a difference.
